- We are looking for a skilled and creative Hairdresser to join our salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for styling and cutting hair, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service while delivering high-quality hair treatments. The role requires knowledge of current trends, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Valid cosmetology or hairstyling license, as required by local regulations.
- Additional certifications or specialized training (e.g., color certification, bridal hair, advanced styling techniques) are a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a hairdresser or hairstylist in a salon or similar environment.
- Experience in various hair services such as cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of current hair trends, styling techniques, and products.
- Proficiency in cutting, coloring, and styling hair for different hair types and textures.
- Ability to perform hair treatments such as coloring, perming, and conditioning.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to understand and meet client needs.
- Attention to detail and the ability to create tailored hair solutions for clients.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that require dexterity and precision.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy salon environment.
- Ability to use hairdressing tools, including scissors, clippers, and blow-dryers, with proficiency.
Personal Traits:
- Creative and artistic with a passion for hairstyling.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple clients and appointments.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new trends, techniques, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, depending on the clientele and location.
- Experience in specialized hair services such as bridal styling or advanced color techniques.
- Ability to recommend and sell hair care products to clients.
Work Environment:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet client needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Willingness to maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
