A Dietary Cashier in a hospital handles both the dietary and cash handling duties within the hospital cafeteria or food service area. Key Responsibilities: Meal Preparation and Service: Assisting with meal preparation and serving meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and patient preferences. Ensuring food is served safely and according to sanitation standards. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Cash Handling: Operating the cash register, accepting payments (cash, credit, etc.), making changes, and issuing receipts. Ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining proper cash security. In essence, a Dietary Cashier plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and efficient food service experience for patients, staff, and visitors while also managing the cash flow within the hospital's food service operations.
