WOMEN’S HEALTH NURSE (IMAGING DEPARTMENT)

Position Summary:

The Women’s Health Nurse is an active imaging assistant to the Doctors in the Imaging Department. The Nurse is responsible for assisting in diagnostic imaging procedures, particularly Abdomen & OB-Gyn ultrasound, while ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. This role integrates clinical nursing expertise with imaging assistance to support accurate diagnostics in a maternal and family-focused setting.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license
• With training or hands-on experience in 3D/4D ultrasound imaging (OB-GYN experience preferred)
• With experience as an Imaging Staff assisting Sonologists, including results encoding and patient care support
• Background in maternal, prenatal, or women’s health care is an advantage

Key Competencies:

• Proficient in ultrasound equipment set up and encoding ensuring machine is ready for the use of the Doctor 
• Able to prepare patients with compassion and kindness ensuring they are ready for their procedure in a timely manner
• Accurate and efficient in encoding and documenting imaging results
• Excellent bedside manner; gentle, reassuring, and patient-focused
• Strong coordination skills when assisting Sonologists during procedures
• Adheres to ethical standards, confidentiality, data privacy and clinical protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Sonologists during imaging procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient readiness
• Accurately encode, document, and manage imaging results in a timely manner
• Provide patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures
• Ensure high-quality imaging and proper data recording
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control in the imaging area
• Monitor and support proper use and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
