Full Stack Developer

Our client, a premier global industrial technology and engineering enterprise, is seeking a Full-Stack PWA & Node.js Developer . Based in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, this role is focused on designing, building, and maintaining mobile-friendly Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and backend services that power custom enterprise software solutions for field teams and global operations. The ideal engineer blends strong Node.js backend development with modern React frontend mastery and offline-first PWA architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Application Development & PWA Architecture

• Mobile-First Development: Build, optimize, and maintain responsive full-stack web applications using React.js for the frontend and Node.js (Express.js or NestJS) for backend services.
• Progressive Web App (PWA) Implementation: Engineer offline-first PWA capabilities—including service workers, web app manifests, advanced caching strategies (Workbox), push notifications, and cross-platform installability—ensuring seamless operational continuity in low-connectivity field environments.
• UI/UX Engineering: Design modular, reusable React components with robust state management ( Redux or Context API ), responsive touch-friendly layouts, and performance optimizations tailored for mobile and tablet displays.

Backend Engineering, APIs & Database Management

• RESTful Service Architecture: Design, build, and maintain high-performance Node.js REST APIs engineered for mobile payload efficiency, secure authentication (JWT/OAuth2), middleware integration, and API versioning.
• NoSQL Data Modeling: Design and maintain MongoDB collections, document schemas, indexes, and aggregation pipelines following NoSQL best practices to support complex custom data models.
• Third-Party Integrations: Connect frontend applications with enterprise APIs, implementing robust authentication, error handling, and offline fallback mechanisms.

SDLC, Quality & Agile Execution

• Lifecycle Ownership: Execute the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across custom mobile app programs, including architecture design, code reviews, automated testing, deployment, and tier-3 production support.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable fixes across Node.js, MongoDB, React, and service worker caching layers.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint ceremonies, partnering with Product Owners, Systems Analysts, and QA engineers to deliver enterprise solutions on time.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Engineering Tenure: 3–5 years of progressive full-stack web development experience with proven hands-on delivery using Node.js and React .
• Global Team Context: Practical experience operating within Agile teams and collaborating across international time zones.

Technical Stack Competencies

• Backend Mastery: Strong experience building RESTful microservices in Node.js using Express.js or NestJS , including secure API routing, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, and middleware architectures.
• Frontend Expertise: Deep proficiency in React.js , modern JavaScript (ES6+), hooks, state management ( Redux or Context API ), and mobile-first responsive design.
• PWA & Offline Capability: Hands-on experience deploying PWA features: Service Workers, Cache API, Web App Manifests, and background sync.
• Database Management: Practical working experience with MongoDB (document design, CRUD, indexing, aggregation).
• Tooling & Version Control: Proficiency with Git , Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD platforms), and RESTful API consumption.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Hands-on experience with Workbox for advanced caching strategies and Web Push API (FCM/VAPID).
• Familiarity with alternative query architectures ( GraphQL ) or real-time protocols ( WebSockets ).
• Knowledge of mobile web performance tuning: code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.
• Exposure to containerization ( Docker ) and automated testing tools ( Jest, Cypress, or Playwright ).
