The Safety Officer/ Safety & Health Coordiantor must ensures workplace compliance The Safety Officer/ Safety & Health Coordinator must ensures workplace compliance with OSH laws and standards; identifies hazards, assesses risks, conducts inspections, investigates incidents, implements safety programs, maintains records, and promotes safe practices to prevent accidents and protect personnel and property.
Bachelor degree of Engineering courses
With 10 years of experience of Safety related field
With minimum of 3 years experience abroad/Japanese company is an advantage
With any related certificates like OSHA, COSH, BOSH, NEBOSH, IOSH
With Japanese Language Certificate is an advantage
Monitors workers safety conditions on-site and provide warnings, stop work and report when unsafe actions or deviations from procedures are identified.
The Safety Officer must performs the four functions of Safety Patrol, Corrections Unsafe Acts, Safety Educations and Stop Work Authority.
Personnel must understand construction workflows, safety standards , and hazard prediction, rather than simply performing guidance or security roles.
Authority to stop works and proper reporting/recording in case of incidents are critical.
Candidates must understand and properly practice the Industrial Safety and Health Act and on-site culture such as KY (Hazard prediction) activities, point and call, 5s.
Knowledge in point out hazards without hesitation and can communicate with diverse workforce.
Meeting legal requirements and showing motivation to grow steadily through phased training is highly valued.
A dedicated officer/manager who does not engage in on-site work as laborer.
Basic knowledge of EMS/ OHSMS such as ISO 45001
