Job description:
The Inventory Staff is responsible for monitoring, recording, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position ensures that inventory movements are properly documented, reconciled, and reported in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock movements.
- Record inventory receipts, transfers, issuances, and adjustments.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in physical inventory activities.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and store personnel regarding inventory concerns.
- Monitor slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete inventories.
- Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions.
- Assist in the valuation and costing of inventories.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
- Maintain organized filing of inventory-related documents.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting , Financial Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Preferably with experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
