Below are the responsibilities of a PRODUCT PLANNING ASSISTANT MANAGER:

• Responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of assigned vehicle models.
• Facilitates product launch strategies, manages pricing and positioning, ensures comprehensive regulatory compliance (homologation) and develops sustaining strategies to maintain competitiveness in the dynamic automotive market.
• Serves as a vital bridge, connecting market demands, internal functional teams, regulatory bodies, and key external stakeholders (Dealers, Fleet, Media) to ensure products meet customer expectations, government standards, and sales objectives.

Regulatory Compliance & Homologation

• Coordinate with industry associations and government agencies (DOE, DENR, LTO, etc.) to ensure full compliance with all local regulations, including emission standards, fuel efficiency, and timely submission of certification documents (CNCS/COC).
• Represent the company in Monthly CAMPI TECHCOM Meetings to stay updated on industry regulations, technical requirements, and their impact on product specifications.
• Support all necessary product and dynamic testing activities to validate vehicle safety, durability, and regulatory conformity.

• Product Management & Strategy
• Develop and implement strategic pricing strategies (FOBS, SRPs) and positioning to ensure optimal competitiveness and profitability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct detailed feature value analysis (USPs) to clearly define and highlight the competitive advantages and core messaging of each model.
• Monitor the product lifecycle and implement effective sustaining strategies (variant refreshes, upgrades, repositioning, special editions) to maximize sales opportunities.
• Manage localization projects and special editions to meet unique local market demands.

Product Validation & Readiness

• Ensure the accuracy of all product specifications used in internal documents, marketing materials, and training content by performing rigorous spec checking against OEM data and homologation documents.
• Collaborate with the Engineering/Customer Service Development (CSD) teams on product testing, technical validation, warranty programs, and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
• Prepare and finalize all required Product Knowledge Content (e.g., USPs, Feature Value Analysis, Competitive Comparison Guides) to enable effective product familiarization and readiness training for the Sales and Dealer Networks.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

• Partner with Marketing for the execution of launch campaigns, product messaging, and press materials, ensuring alignment on positioning.
• Work closely with Sales and Dealer Networks to collect market feedback, track demand forecasts, and support dealer readiness activities.
• Engage with key external stakeholders including Fleet Clients, Media Partners, and Influential Dealers to present and communicate key product messages, and address technical inquiries.
• Provide OEM support for regional or global product-related projects or data requirements.

Market Intelligence & Long-Term Planning

• Monitor competitor product introductions, pricing actions, and long-term strategies to ensure product plans remain proactive and competitive.
• Support long-term product planning by identifying customer needs, anticipating regulatory changes, and tracking emerging automotive trends (e.g., electrification, connectivity).

To be successful in this role you must be…

• A college graduate with a 4-year degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or any related field.
• Has at least 3-5 years of progressive experience in product planning, and brand management, with a strong preference for the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of vehicle homologation processes, strategic pricing methodologies, and product lifecycle management principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, data analysis tools, and presentation software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills , necessary for engaging with both technical teams and external stakeholders (cross departments, OEMs, media, government agencies).
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align product strategy with market demands, business goals, and long-term company vision.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local automotive compliance requirements and industry technical standards.
• Analytical Skills: Able to effectively interpret market data, product performance metrics, and competitive landscapes to drive decisions.
• Collaboration: Works effectively across internal departments (Sales, Marketing, CSD) and with diverse external partners.
• Attention to Detall: Ensures absolute accuracy in homologation documentation, product specifications, and pricing structures

Working Hours: 45 hours, 5 days per week (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM)
