About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Sr. Data Engineer to join our team in BGC. In this role, you will lead data engineering initiatives, architect robust data pipelines, and collaborate closely with key business stakeholders. You will leverage your deep expertise in Python, SQL, and modern cloud platforms to drive data strategy and deliver scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reliable data pipelines and architectures
Lead data engineering efforts, establish best practices, and optimize platform performance
Act as a technical partner to business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into effective data solutions
Work extensively with modern data platforms to process and analyze large-scale datasets efficiently
About you
8+ years of proven data engineering experience
Advanced proficiency in Python (4/5 rating or higher)
Strong SQL querying and optimization skills (3/5 rating or higher)
Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, specifically Databricks
Strong exposure to cloud environments, with a preference for Microsoft Azure
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities
