We’re looking for a high-performing Accounts Receivable Officer who thrives in fast-paced, commercially driven environments. This role sits at the heart of our finance, functioning cash flow performance, influencing customer outcomes, and partnering with the business to drive operational excellence. Operating within a dynamic manufacturing and project-based environment, you’ll manage a diverse customer portfolio spanning trade, distribution, and project clients, where strong commercial judgment and relationship management are critical.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-end ownership of the accounts receivable function; from invoicing through to cash collection and reconciliation
- Delivery of best-in-class collections performance, reducing DSO and optimizing working capital
- Management of complex, high-volume and project-based billing cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Driving proactive credit control strategies that balance risk, customer experience, and business growth
- Resolution of billing discrepancies, pricing issues, and commercial disputes with speed and confidence
- Production of insightful AR reporting (aging, cash flow, debtor trends) to inform decision-making
- Partnering with Sales, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve billing accuracy and contract execution
- Continuous improvement of AR processes, controls, and systems to increase efficiency and scalability
Requirements
What You Bring
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven track record in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Bookkeeping
- Experience in fast-moving, high-volume or complex billing environments (manufacturing, distribution, services, or similar)
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Confident communicator who can challenge when needed and build strong client relationships
- Advanced problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail and financial accuracy
- Systems-savvy with experience across ERP/accounting platforms (SAP, MYOB, Xero, Pronto, etc.)
- Strong Excel and reporting capability; comfortable working with data to generate insights
- Enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
