The role of the Senior BigCommerce Developer is to lead the development and implementation of advanced e-commerce solutions for clients using the BigCommerce platform. This position involves designing, building, customizing, and optimizing BigCommerce stores to meet complex client requirements. The Senior BigCommerce Developer will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and will also mentor junior developers.
- Lead the development and customization of BigCommerce themes and apps.
- Integrate third-party services to enhance store functionality.
- Optimize stores for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client needs.
- Document technical specifications and project requirements.

- Extensive experience with BigCommerce development and platform architecture
- Strong proficiency in React.js (required) and Next.js for headless storefront development
- Experience with BigCommerce Widget Builder and Custom Checkout SDK
- Deep knowledge of Stencil, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and BigCommerce APIs (GraphQL & REST)
- Hands-on experience with BigCommerce GraphQL Storefront and Admin APIs
- Familiarity with B2B features including Buyer Portal, shared carts, and company catalogs (nice to have)
- Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges
- Effective communication skills for client and team interactions
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
