Mechanical Foreman

1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.1 Maintains high standards of work as directed by the Mechanical Superintendent in carrying out maintenance, welding and repair work on plant and equipment in all areas of the Subic Drydock Work Zone. 1.2 Supervises overhauling of auxiliary engine, recondition of Cylinder heads, honing of liners, calibration of injectors and engine alignments. 1.3 Supervises running in test after overhauling. 1.4 Works on repair, installation and maintenance work in a conscientious manner to a high standard of craftsmanship with a minimum of supervision. This work includes maintenance & repair of pumps, gearboxes, centrifugal machines, conveyors, pressure vessels, compressors & turbines 1.5 Carries out Preventative Maintenance activities as required 1.6 Ensures proper and efficient use of all equipment & tools in the workshop. 1.7 Completes an end of shift report and carries out an effective communication & handover exchange with the incoming shift fitter in the work area. 1.8 Works safely at all times. Observes all quality & housekeeping policies. Keeps own work area clean & hygienic

2.0 EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

2.1 Education:  High school graduate or any related vocational courses. 2.2 Experience:  At least 3-5 years related experience in a shipyard industry.  Others:  Good communication and personal relation skills
