Junior Accountant

I. POSITION SUMMARY

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records across multiple entities and all non-operational companies.

This role ensures compliance with government regulatory requirements, supports management decision-making through reliable financial reporting, and upholds the integrity of all accounting processes — including government filings, tax compliance, withholding tax administration, import transactions, and POS e-Sales reporting.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

A. Financial Reporting

• Prepare and deliver accurate and reliable Financial Statements (FS) on or before the 10th day of the following month to support management decision-making on an interim basis and for statutory filing purposes.

B. General Ledger Reconciliation

• Perform monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of account balances.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Entities covered: AHC, KSM, CHI, B2R2, CIDI

C. Import Transaction Processing

• Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of all import-related transactions.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to obtain complete documentation and approvals required for import payments.

D. BIR Letter of Authority (LOA) Support

• Compile, organize, and provide all documents and supporting schedules needed to justify and respond to BIR Letter of Authority (LOA) examinations.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of records presented to BIR examiners.

E. Government Reportorial Compliance

• File all required government reports accurately and on or before their respective deadlines, covering the following:

◦ Value-Added Tax (VAT)

◦ Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT)

◦ Withholding Tax on Compensation (WT)

◦ Quarterly Income Tax (QIT)

◦ Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) reporting

◦ Alphabetical List of Payees/Purchases (Alpha List)

◦ Audited Financial Statements (AFS)

◦ SSS, HDMF (Pag-IBIG), and PhilHealth contributions

• Entities covered: AHC, CHI, KSM, CIDI, and all non-operational companies

F. e-Sales Reporting (CHI)

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of e-Sales data through the BIR portal to maintain full compliance across all POS terminals.
• Monitor and validate POS data before submission to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Entity covered: CHI

G. Creditable Withholding Tax (CWT) — BIR Form 2307

• Prepare and generate BIR Form 2307 (Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source) during the processing of Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV).
• Ensure correctness of withholding tax rates applied per BIR regulations.
• Entities covered: AHC, B2R2, CIDI, KSM

III. QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA an advantage

Experience

Minimum 2–3 years of general accounting experience; experience with multi-entity environments preferred

Technical Skills

Proficient in BIR eFPS / eBIRForms filing system

Knowledgeable in BIR Form 2307 preparation and CWT computation

Familiar with SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF online portals

Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel

Experience with BIR e-Sales / POS compliance is an advantage

Key Competencies

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

• Financial Statements submitted on or before the 10th of the following month — 100% on-time compliance
• Zero GL reconciliation variances left unresolved at month-end
• Zero late or erroneous government filings (VAT, EWT, WT, QIT, Alpha List, AFS, SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth)
• BIR LOA documents provided completely and on schedule
• BIR Form 2307 issued accurately for 100% of applicable APV transactions
• e-Sales data filed on time with zero missing POS terminals (CHI)
• Import-related payments processed accurately and within required timelines
