About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Helper to join the team at DDC Coolmakers & Powerbuilders Corporation. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Helper, you will provide essential support to our skilled technicians and engineers in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service delivery and maintenance projects, contributing directly to the quality of work we provide to our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing company within the trades and services sector.Key responsibilities
Assist technicians and engineers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Prepare work areas, tools, and equipment needed for service calls and projects
Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance tasks on air conditioning and refrigeration units
Transport and handle materials, components, and equipment safely to job sites
Support technicians by holding tools, passing equipment, and providing on-site assistance during installations and repairs
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Assist with loading and unloading service vehicles
Respond promptly to instructions from supervisors and senior technicians
Contribute to the overall efficiency and professionalism of the team
What we're looking for
No formal qualifications required; willingness to learn is essential
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy items and working at heights where required
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Basic understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards
Ability to follow instructions carefully and pay attention to detail
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying work schedules and job requirements
Previous experience in a similar helper or apprenticeship role in the trades would be advantageous
A valid driver's licence is desirable but not essential
