Cloud Platform Engineer (SQL Server Database)
As a Cloud Platform Engineer , you will bridge the gap between traditional database management and modern cloud infrastructure. You will design, construct, test, and deploy cloud application solutions that seamlessly integrate both cloud and non-cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of intensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server (administration, optimization, and scaling).
- Cloud Architecture: Expert proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architecture.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools like Terraform or CloudFormation .
- Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles and data residency best practices.
- DevOps Mastery: Experience with DevOps Architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Resiliency: Experience designing scalable and resilient cloud solutions (High Availability/Disaster Recovery).
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (GKE) .
Roles & Responsibilities
- Independent Leadership: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for database and cloud integration, performing independently to drive project success.
- Collaborative Design: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
- Optimization: Actively monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to balance peak performance with cost efficiency.
- Problem Solving: Contribute innovative solutions to technical challenges and participate actively in architectural team discussions.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality documentation related to cloud architecture, database processes, and security protocols.
- Innovation: Stay at the forefront of cloud technologies and DevOps best practices to continuously enhance team capabilities.
