A Kitchen Maintenance Technician is responsible for the proper functioning and upkeep of kitchen equipment, including repairs, maintenance, and installation. They also ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and handling.
Key Responsibilities: · Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing issues with kitchen equipment like ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances. · Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and cleaning equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition. · Equipment Installation: Installing new kitchen equipment, including gas and electrical lines. · Safety and Cleanliness: Ensuring the kitchen area is clean, safe, and complies with food safety regulations. · Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of equipment and parts, and ordering supplies as needed. · Coordination: Working with kitchen staff, supervisors, and potentially outside vendors to address maintenance needs. · Emergency Repairs: Responding to urgent maintenance needs, such as equipment breakdowns during service hours. · Record Keeping: Maintaining logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
