Sr. Sales & Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with capacity and market demand
  • Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, customer mix, and profitability goals
  • Collaborate with farm operations and supply planning on sales forecasts
  • Grow the customer base (swine buyers, traders, breeders)
  • Develop new B2B channels, partnerships, and opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and emerging opportunities
  • Implement pricing strategies to support growth and profitability
  • Adjust pricing and discounts based on market conditions
  • Enforce disciplined credit control and collection practices
  • Lead, coach, and assess the sales team
  • Ensure efficient sales processes, order fulfillment, and issue resolution
  • Standardize sales reporting, KPIs, and performance dashboards
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with all accounts
  • Represent the company in industry events, negotiations, and associations
  • Manage long-term client contracts and agreements
  • Align sales plans with operations and supply capabilities
  • Partner with Finance on collections, credit monitoring, and margin analysis
  • Provide market insights to support management decision-making
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in agribusiness sales (preferably livestock, poultry, or feed industry).
  • Proven experience in managing sales teams and B2B accounts.
  • Strong understanding of farm-to-market dynamics, pricing, and trading practices.
  • Negotiation skills, financial acumen, and ability to manage margins.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
