Brief Job Description
The Purchasing Staff supports the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and services by coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. The role helps ensure that purchases are properly processed, competitively priced, and delivered according to requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requests and prepare Purchase Orders based on department requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Follow up on orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely receipt of items.
- Coordinate with the receiving team to verify the status and completeness of deliveries.
- Assist in coordinating the return or replacement of rejected, damaged, or incorrect items with suppliers.
- Prepare price comparison reports and monitor changes in supplier pricing.
- Maintain organized purchasing records, including Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any business-related course .
- At least 6 months of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word .
- Willing to coordinate with suppliers regularly and follow up on orders as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supplier coordination.
- Basic knowledge of canvassing, price comparison, or supplier negotiation.
