AU Bookkeeper (In-Home Aged Care)

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Bookkeepe r to manage day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The role offers growth potential, including taking on tasks from external accountants (e.g., BAS and payroll tax) and progressing toward a business accountant role focused on strategy and pricing.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling both supplier- and client-facing finance tasks. Experience with Xero, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting are essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.


What are you expected to do?

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process and manage a volume of invoices through accounting and document management systems
  • Upload, approve, and maintain accurate invoice and expense records for auditing purposes
  • Assist with weekly bulk payment processing through Xero
  • Support accounts payable workflows and payment approvals

Accounts Receivable (AR) & Client Finance:

  • Assist with monthly reconciliation and submission processes

  • Prepare and send end-of-month statements and client invoices

  • Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices and outstanding balances

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations in Xero

  • Communicate with clients regarding finance-related inquiries and coordinate with suppliers regarding invoice concerns or discrepancies

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role preferably supporting AU counterparts/clients.
  • You can demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Xero, and other relevant accounting or finance software.
  • You have strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and data entry.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • You are willing to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities.
  • You possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You are amenable to work at 6:30-3:30 PM PHT, Monday-Friday

  • You are familiar with document management and workflow tools such as Hubdoc and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and SharePoint.

Please note: This role is remote; however, we require candidates to be based locally in the Philippines. This is to support occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover. Additionally, local residency is necessary for compliance with Philippines labor laws and employment regulations.

What to Expect in the Process?

  1. You’ll go through 3–4 interviews plus a possible assessment with our client partner. This includes an initial chat, a culture-fit interview, and 1–2 conversations with our awesome client. The whole process usually takes 1–2 weeks, but we’ll let you know if things need to move quicker.

  3. If all goes well, we’ll complete reference checks and requirements quickly—so we can get that job offer to you without delay.
