- A Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service.
- They ensure a smooth and efficient checkout experience while maintaining accuracy in handling cash and other payment methods.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, or computer operations is beneficial.
- Strong numerical skills for handling cash and processing payments accurately.
- Attention to detail to ensure correct pricing, change, and receipts.
- Excellent customer service skills to assist customers professionally and politely.
- Basic computer skills for operating cash registers, barcode scanners, and POS systems.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Problem-solving skills to handle transaction issues, refunds, or pricing discrepancies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customers efficiently.
